The year 2020 left an indelible mark on each one of us in more ways than one. In just the span of a few months, the world changed in unprecedented ways, and we were hardly given any time to adapt to the new normal. It seemed like the pandemic changed the way we live, work, shop, entertain ourselves, and take care of the people closest to us in the blink of an eye. But the days passed as we all took on the challenges in stride and pushed through the difficulties, and finally, we are here in the first year of a new decade.
It’s now time to pat yourself on the back for how wonderfully you’ve handled 2020 and look ahead with positivity and hope. And today, we at Yuvashakti Model School, one of the top schools in Rohini Sector 3, have a few words to share with you in this regard.
Let’s start with a look at all the good things that happened in 2020
Indeed, the year that’s gone by was tough on everyone, but it wasn’t all bad, right? So, let’s start by recollecting all the amazing things that happened to us during this time.
Yes, the classrooms felt empty, and so did the offices as everyone was cooped up at home. But, it also gave all of us ample bonding time with family like never before! People indulged in learning new skills at home, planned family time together, and found new ways of finding happiness.
Of course, none of us could see our friends, relatives, and even our neighbors for days. However, it showed that the bonds we had forged were stronger than ever as we found virtual ways of staying connected.
Some of you even turned COVID warriors, and many of you have been in the frontline offering necessary services even amidst adverse conditions.
So, kudos to all of you!
Here’s considering the past year as a lesson we learned
We cannot carry the negativities from the past year when the aim is to leave all the miseries and glooms behind. Thus, one of the ways to look at 2021 with hope and optimism is to consider the past year as the one that taught us a lesson, rather than solely giving us miseries to endure.
After all, the lessons we learned were multifarious, be it in matters of personal hygiene, the use of technology, or keeping ourselves and our families mentally and physically strong through the pandemic. And, the things that are learned through experience are never forgotten!
Vision 2021: Let’s set the goals and reach out for them
Our suggestion for the New Year would be to set some positive goals and pledge to yourselves that you will positively reach out to fulfill them. We would like to urge the parents to help children set out their goals for the year as well, and then teach them to break down each of the goals into smaller steps so that by the time we reach 2022, they would have already achieved them.
The latest news about the COVID-19 vaccine in the country
The World Health Organization has welcomed the COVID-19 vaccine approval for India on the 3rd of January. And, this decision is expected to strengthen the country’s fight against the pandemic. The authorities are hopeful that the use of the vaccine, along with the continued implementation of various public health measures, will be reducing the impact of the virus right from this year.
Though the entire process of distributing the vaccine in the country is going to take some time, the progress made till date gives us all a reason to be optimistic. At Yuvashakti Model School, we are keeping our hopes high that the schools in Rohini Sector 3 and all across the nation would reopen very soon this year, and our hallways will once again get filled with the chirps and laughter of our young buds.
Hope and positivity are those powerful forces that light our way amidst all the darkness and gloom and let us all pledge to never let go of these two forces. On that note, we, at Yuvashakti Model School, on behalf of all the members of our honorable management committee, teachers, and staff, wish each and every one of you a very happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year!
