This driving spirit of tenacity and determination perfectly embodied Yuvashakti Model School’s Annual Sports Day held on 20 November 2025, on the school’s ground, which was vibrantly decorated with inspiring banners and posters. The auspicious event was dignified by the presence of Chief Guest, Ms. Anjum Moudgil, an esteemed Olympian and South Asian Games Gold Medalist, and Guest of Honour, Mr. Ankush Bhardwaj, who has won multiple international awards, and presently serves as the Indian Shooting Team Coach. The event was graced by Mr. S.Sunil (D.D.E. Sports), Mr. Ajay Varun (Physical Education Supervisor, Zone XIII), Mr. Avdesh Yadav (Sports Secretary, Zone XIII), Mr. S.K. Saluja, Mr.Vijay Sharma (Chairman,YMS), Mr. Shambhu Sharma (Trustee, YMS), Mr. Anil Sharma (Member of Management), Mr.Sunil Sharma (Secretary,YMS), Mr. Kartik Sharma (Managing Director, YMS), Mr. Harinder Kumar (Director, YMS), Mr. Tagore Babry, and Ms.Divya Vats (HOS, YMS). The day commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the illumination of knowledge and positive endeavors. This was followed by a formal reception for the dignitaries. The majestic March Past unfolded showcasing the NCC cadets, the Student Council, and the participating athletes in a flawless display of discipline and precision.The School’s Girls Bagpiper Band -Armonia enthralled the audience with their synchronized performance, infusing the atmosphere with energy and enthusiasm. As the ceremonial Sports Torch was lit, the ground erupted in a thunderous applause, setting a perfect tone for the event. The event proceeded with Ganesh Vandana, seeking divine blessings for a successful event.Reverent Head of School,Ms.Divya Vats gave an inspirational address highlighting the school’s commitment to students’ overall development, urging them to reach new heights. The core of the day saw spirited participation across all grades in events including the thrilling 100m and 200m race, the popular balloon bursting race, the cone collecting race, and the energetic Relay race, all of which captured everyone’s interest. The intense competition and vibrant energy of the participants in every race made the track events a spectacular demonstration of speed and agility. The sportsmanship and camaraderie displayed by the students were truly commendable, adding a touch of warmth to the event. The artistic displays, including a colorful Pom Pom spectacle, a lively Bhangra dance, a traditional Rajasthani dance, and an elegant Saree drill, alongside a sports drill performed by the students, were a perfect blend of fun and discipline. Mr. Shambhu Sharma, the Honourable Trustee of the school, encouraged the students, stating that sports are very important along with academics in these modern times, fostering holistic growth. Our Revered Chief Guest delivered a motivating speech, recalling her own school days and inspiring the students to seize every opportunity, embracing challenges and striving for excellence. The winners were felicitated by the dignitaries for their achievements. The program ended with the vote of thanks and the soulful rendition of the national anthem.
