History

Back in 1985, Pt. Madan Lal Sharma Ji and Sh. B.R. Sharma Ji established an Educational Hub in Budh Vihar, a suburb in the vicinity of Rohini. Consequently, Yuvashakti Model School came into existence. It was formed as an institution that was committed to aid in the holistic development of children. The school gradually took off to become a mammoth of an institution, where children could imbibe knowledge and become educated to achieve the very best in their life. The school has ever since worked dedicatedly to provide the young minds with the finest of education and instil in them the essential moral values and disciplinary norms.

The term ‘Yuvashakti’ means Youth power, and the institution had been true to its name when it comes to nurturing and developing the nation’s young talents. Our motto “Shiksha aur Sanskriti” signifies the two aspects that the school has always considered to be of undeniable significance in the younger generation’s progression.

During the early 90’s, the school got shifted to Rohini, Delhi, with the same vision. Since then,it has been flourishing under the guiding light of qualified and capable administrators and experienced teaching faculty.

The school prides itself in having an excellent infrastructure that conforms to the latest technologies and is equipped with all the necessary amenities. There is a unique play way area for toddlers, a multipurpose playground, a skating rink, a badminton court, a basketball court, and a table tennis room. Besides, there are separate activity rooms for art, painting, and music.

All the classrooms are well-lit and properly ventilated. There are appositely equipped junior and senior computer labs and audio-visual-aids rooms that have been set up to aid children in their educational journey.

The school has arrangements for a wide array of activities such as arts, crafts, music, dance, drama, theatre, yoga & meditation, clay molding, aerobics, taekwondo, public speaking, leadership grooming, horse riding, handicraft work, papercraft, gardening, and social work. This provides the students with the exposure and opportunity to recognize and sharpen their skills and talents

1985: 

• Our founders, Late Sh. Madan Lal Sharma, along with other eminent personalities, laid down the foundation stone of “Yuvashakti Model School” in April 1985.
• S.K. Aggarwal was the Founding Principal of the institution.

1989:

• First batch of Class X students appeared in All India Secondary School Examination.
• Yuvashakti commenced correspondence education for classes X & XII (boys and girls both) with the due permission of National School of Open Learning, a unit of the Ministry of Human Resources and Development, Govt. of India.

1991: 

• First batch of Class XII students appeared in All India Senior School Certificate Examination

1995: 

• On 16^th Feb 1995, Shri. Sajjan Kumar, ex Member of Parliament, laid the foundation stone of the present school building at Rohini, thereby marking a milestone in our school’s history.

2003: 

The school participated in the Republic Day Parade at Rajpath and won the first prize in Cultural Activities.

2006: 

On 14^th Oct 2006, the school received ISO 9001:2008 certification. At present, Yuvashakti is an ISO 9001:2015 certified institute.

YMS has always remained committed to the cause of education and has been in line with the fast progressive world. The position where the school has reached today would not have been possible without the persistent efforts of the mentors and management committee of the institute. And now, with the able leadership of our respected Chairman Shri. Vijay Sharma, Trustee Shri. Shambhu Sharma, Secretary Shri. Sunil Sharma, and Principal Harinder Kumar, we hope to touch many more of such milestones in the years to come.
