*25th Death Anniversary of Late Pt. Madan Lal Sharma Ji*

To commemorate the 25th death anniversary of the revered Late Pt. Madan Lal Sharma Ji—former National President of the All India Brahmin Mahasabha, Founder of Brahmashakti Trust and Yuvashakti Educational Society, and a constant source of inspiration and selfless service to society—a soulful evening titled “Ek Shaam Pandit Madan Lal Sharma Ji Ke Naam” was organized on Sunday, 27th July 2025, in the grand premises of Yuvashakti Model School, Sector-3, Rohini. The event featured devotional bhajans and heartfelt tributes.
The event began with a ceremonial lamp lighting by Yogeshwar Dutt(Olympic Gold medalist) and Shri Ramesh Kumar(former MP) along with other distinguished guests.
The special highlight of the evening was the unveiling of the statues of Late Pt. Madan Lal Sharma Ji and Smt. Malti Devi Ji by Shri Devender Yadav(President, Delhi State Congress Committee) which added a deeply emotional and symbolic note to the occasion, immortalizing their legacy and contributions for generations to come.
The programme was organized under the aegis of Pt. Madan Lal Sharma Memorial Trust.
On this occasion, Pt. Madan Lal Sharma Ji’s granddaughter paid an emotional tribute through her words, evoking deep sentiments in the audience.
Prominent dignitaries including Dr. Arvind Sharma (Cabinet Minister), Yogendra Chandolia(MP), Pawan Sharma(MLA) Kulwant Rana, Devender Yadav (Delhi Congress Committee President), and Anil Sharma (Rajasthan MLA), recalled their cherished moments spent with Pt. Madan Lal Sharma Ji and offered their respects on his 25th death anniversary.
Several notable personalities were honoured with The Pandit Madan Lal Sharma Shaktiratna Award.These distinguished personalities were Shri Raman Gaur,Sh.Vidya Ratan, Sh. Ramakant Goswami, Sh. Master Jai Bhagwan Yadav (Deputy Mayor), Shri Narendra Solanki, Shri Dharmveer Sharma (Municipal Councillor), Shri Amrit Jain (Chairman, Rohini Zone), Shri Vinod Vats, Dr. Ashwani, Thakur Jagbir Singh, Shri Jagdish Yadav, and Sardar Roop Singh.
Students from all branches of Yuvashakti Model School enthralled the audience with coordinated musical performances using various Indian instruments, filling the atmosphere with rhythm, melody, and harmony.
Distinguished guests from far and wide paid floral tributes to Pt. Madan Lal Sharma Ji, recognizing his humanitarianism, compassion, dedication, and commitment to education. The gathering was deeply moved and inspired by the values he upheld and shared.
The event witnessed the gracious presence of Shri S.K. Saluja Ji, Shri Vijay Sharma (Chairman, YMS), Shri Shambhu Sharma (Former Councillor and Trustee YMS),  Shri Anil Sharma        (Director, Cygnus hospital), Shri Sunil Sharma(Secretary, YMS), Shri Mohit Sharma(Director,Shakti Resort), Shri Paras Sharma, Shri Kartik Sharma(M.D, YMS), Shri Gaurav Sharma, Shri Manav Sharma along with the entire Sharma family who came together to pay homage to their beloved babuji. Mr. Harinder Kumar (Director, YMS), Mrs. Divya Vats(Principal YMS), and all the teachers and staff members of the Yuvashakti family were the part of the heartfelt ceremony. The evening concluded with Shradha Bhoj.

On 22nd July 2025, Class VI A of Yuvashakti Model School presented a captivating assembly on the theme “Nurturing the Culture of Empathy.” The assembly began with a news update and a thoughtful quote of the day. A touching poem and a heartfelt speech emphasized the importance of understanding others’ feelings. The highlight was a mesmerizing mime act blended with dance, showcasing the power of empathy in everyday situations. The class teacher concluded with an inspiring message, encouraging students to be kind and compassionate. The assembly left a deep impact, promoting empathy as a vital value in daily life.

Teachers Attend Workshop on Creativity and Innovation in Teaching

A workshop on ‘Creativity and Innovation in Teaching’ was conducted on 19 July 2025 for the teachers of Yuvashakti Model School, Rohini. The session was organised in collaboration with Hindustan Times and was facilitated by Ms. Jaishree Mehta, an experienced resource person known for her engaging training style.
The interactive workshop focused on redefining the role and goals of an educator in the 21st century. Ms. Mehta discussed various creative strategies to make teaching more innovative, effective, and student-centric. The session also covered the importance of critical thinking, encouraging curiosity in classrooms, and integrating new ideas into daily lessons.
Teachers actively participated in discussions and activities designed to spark fresh ideas and approaches for classroom teaching. The workshop concluded with an open forum where teachers shared their insights and resolved queries related to implementing innovative practices.

On 18th July 2025, Class IV-D of Yuvashakti Model School conducted a special assembly on the theme “Gratitude and Appreciation.” The assembly began with a thoughtful quote highlighting the power of thankfulness, followed by national and international news headlines. A vibrant dance performance on the song “I Am Grateful” energized the audience. The class teacher delivered a moral talk, praising the students’ efforts and encouraging daily acts of gratitude. A “Gratitude Tree” adorned with thank-you leaves by students and teachers added warmth to the event. The assembly concluded on a joyful note, leaving a lasting message of appreciation and humility.

Sangachadhwam-2025

On 19th July 2025, teachers from Yuvashakti Model School participated in Sangachadhwam 2025 held at Rukmini Devi Institute of Advanced Studies, Delhi. The event focused on the implementation of the Holistic Progress Card (HPC) as envisioned in NEP 2020. Dr. Indrani Bhaduri, CEO and Head of PARAKH, NCERT, delivered a thought-provoking keynote on the shift towards competency-based education. An engaging interactive session addressed real-time challenges and practical solutions in HPC adoption. The PARAKH team conducted a hands-on workshop exploring the HPC structure, aligning assessments with learning outcomes, and presenting impactful case studies. The event served as a valuable learning experience, fostering peer collaboration and deepening educators’ understanding of NEP-aligned assessment frameworks. It empowered participants with actionable strategies to drive meaningful change in schools.

Yuvashakti Model School, Sec-3, Rohini joyfully celebrated Vanmahotsav on 4th July 2025 amidst the lush green surroundings of the school campus. The event aimed to instill in students a deeper understanding of the importance of afforestation and environmental responsibility.
Under the inspiring leadership of Head of School, Ms. Divya Vats, and the able coordination of Eco Club In-charge, Ms. Neeraj Dewan, along with her dedicated team, the celebration began with a vibrant Special Assembly. Students expressed their concern for the environment through powerful speeches, heartfelt poems, and energetic dance performances, all reinforcing the need to protect and preserve nature.
Following the assembly, a tree plantation ceremony was held. Trustee Mr. Shambhu Sharma, Managing Director Mr. Kartik Sharma, Director Mr. Harinder Kumar, Head of School Ms. Divya Vats, Wing Coordinators, and enthusiastic students participated in the plantation drive. The occasion was marked by planting saplings and imprinting hand impressions on a commemorative board as a lasting symbol of their commitment to nature.
A touching highlight of this year’s celebration was the school’s active participation in the noble initiative “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0.” Each sapling was lovingly dedicated to one’s mother, symbolizing care, respect, and gratitude. This heartfelt gesture added a personal and emotional dimension to the celebration, making the day truly special and memorable for all.

On the occasion of International Plastic Bag Free Day, YuvaShakti Model School organized a Paper Bag Making Activity to raise awareness about environmental sustainability and the harmful effects of plastic. Held over two days, the activity saw enthusiastic participation from students of Classes VI to VIII on 8th July and Classes II to V on 9th July. Using newspapers and recycled materials, students showcased their creativity and responsibility towards nature. The initiative aimed to instill eco-conscious values in young minds and encourage the use of eco-friendly alternatives. The drive was a great success, highlighting the school’s commitment to promoting environmental stewardship and inspiring students to contribute to a cleaner, greener planet.

Mock Drill

In alignment with Government directives, Yuvashakti Model School conducted a comprehensive Mock Drill today to enhance emergency preparedness among students and staff. Students practiced the “Drop, Cover, and Hold” technique and quickly assembled in designated open areas, demonstrating commendable discipline and presence of mind. The drill aimed to instill life-saving reflexes and efficient crisis response skills. A special session on CPR and First Aid was also organized, equipping students with essential, practical knowledge that could prove critical in real-life emergencies. The activity emphasized that drills are not merely routine protocols but a vital commitment to safety, readiness, and protection. We are immensely proud of our young learners for participating with such enthusiasm, seriousness, and responsibility, reflecting their growing awareness and preparedness for unforeseen situations.

“Life Work Balance” Workshop for Teachers

On 3rd May 2025, Yuvashakti Model School organized an insightful workshop on “Life Work Balance” for its teachers. The session was conducted by Ms. Tanya Saini, who skillfully engaged the participants through activities and thoughtful discussions. She emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy balance between professional responsibilities and personal well-being. Teachers actively participated, sharing their experiences and learning valuable strategies to manage stress and enhance productivity. Labour Day

Yuvashakti Model School celebrated Labour Day on May 1st, 2025, with a heartfelt assembly dedicated to honoring the hard work and commitment of its sub staff. The celebration commenced with a thought-provoking message that set a tone of gratitude and appreciation. Students presented inspiring poems, moving speeches, and an engaging skit, all highlighting the invaluable role played by the sub staff in the smooth functioning of the school. Principal Ma’am acknowledged and praised their unwavering dedication and efforts. To further express their gratitude, students distributed chocolates among the sub staff, bringing smiles to their faces. The event served as a beautiful reminder of the importance of respect and recognition for every member of the school community, fostering a spirit of unity and appreciation.

Road Safety Awareness Workshop

A Road Safety Awareness Workshop was convened today at Yuvashakti Model School, Rohini, in collaboration with the Delhi Traffic Police. The session was led by Sub-Inspector Mr. Manoj Kumar and Mr. Kulvinder Sharma, who illuminated the students on various critical facets of road safety.
The workshop aimed to cultivate awareness regarding the escalating incidence of road accidents, the underlying causes of such incidents, the paramount importance of wearing helmets, and the proper techniques for crossing roads. The speakers recounted real-life scenarios and imparted practical advice to instill responsible behavior among young pedestrians and prospective drivers.

On 26th April 2025, Yuvashakti Model School conducted a Parent Orientation Programme for new admissions from Classes II to XII. The event commenced with a warm welcome to parents, followed by an introduction to the school’s vision, mission, and core values. Key members of the management and faculty highlighted the academic structure, co-curricular activities, assessment patterns, and support systems available for students. Parents were familiarized with school policies, communication channels, and the role of collaborative efforts in a child’s holistic development. On 3rd May 2025, Yuvashakti Model School celebrated the birthdays of its esteemed teachers whose birthdays fall in the month of April with great enthusiasm.Head of School Ms. Divya Vats warmly welcomed the gathering and extended special wishes to Managing Director Mr. Kartik Sharma, appreciating his exceptional leadership and unwavering vision. Wing Coordinators also conveyed heartfelt greetings to their respective staff members. The auditorium, beautifully adorned with vibrant decorations, echoed with joy as the birthday honorees cut the cake amidst loud applause and cheer. Fun-filled games and prize distributions added to the lively atmosphere, with teachers participating enthusiastically. The celebration concluded with a delightful lunch, making it a memorable day of appreciation, bonding, and happiness for all, strengthening the spirit of unity within the school community.

INDUCTION PROGRAM

To mark the vibrant commencement of the academic session 2025-26, Yuvashakti Model School organized a comprehensive Teachers’ Induction Programme on 1st April 2025 in the school auditorium. Honourable Head of School, Ms. Divya Vats, extended a warm and gracious welcome to the newly appointed faculty. Mr. Ashok Kumar (HOD, Physical Education) eloquently recounted the institution’s 38-year journey of excellence, highlighting the visionary ideals and philanthropic legacy of Late Shri M.L. Sharma Ji, the revered founder, while introducing the distinguished school management.

Mr. Vineet Vats (Senior Coordinator) led an insightful 360-degree tour, familiarizing teachers with the state-of-the-art infrastructure and extensive academic resources. Ms. Aarti Aggarwal (Primary Wing Coordinator) outlined the Code of Conduct, followed by Ms. Shagun (Enfants Jardin Coordinator), who provided expert guidance on effective classroom management. The Principal concluded by showcasing the scholastic, athletic, and cultural milestones of the past academic year at zonal , district & national level and applauded for the team for their valuable contributions. Additionally, she unveiled a strategic roadmap for the forthcoming session. The programme empowered educators, equipping them to excel professionally and uphold the school’s tradition of brilliance and innovation.

 

ASSEMBLIES

On 15th April 2025, the students presented a thoughtful assembly on the theme “Embrace Changes Gracefully.” The program began with a speech emphasizing how change fosters growth, followed by a heartfelt poem capturing the emotions of adapting. The news segment highlighted real-world examples of positive change, while a short drama depicted students navigating school adjustments with resilience and support. The class teacher concluded the assembly by motivating students to accept change with strength and grace. The impactful message, “School may shift and things might bend, but grace and growth will always blend,” resonated deeply with all.

 

Karmayoga Club

*Karmayoga Club’s Enlightening Visit to Shri Hari Govind Chikitsalaya Aur Gaushala*
On 21st December 2024, 16 spirited members of the Karmayoga Club from Yuvashakti Model School, Sector-3, Rohini, undertook an inspiring visit to Shri Hari Govind Chikitsalaya Aur Gaushala, Sector-11, Rohini, accompanied by their teacher. The visit proved to be a transformative experience for the students, offering them a firsthand glimpse into the tireless efforts of the organization in providing medical care for animals and fostering a culture of compassion and empathy towards all living beings. During their visit, the students engaged with the dedicated staff and volunteers, gaining insights into the significance of animal welfare and their own potential role in contributing to it. They also cherished the opportunity to bond with the animals, feeding and caring for them, while embracing the profound values of kindness and responsibility. This experience enriched our students’ social and emotional learning, reinforcing the importance of altruism, community engagement, and environmental stewardship. We take immense pride in their commitment to making a positive difference and actively participating in such a meaningful endeavor. On 21st December 2024, YuvaShakti Model School commemorated World Meditation Day with an enlightening session aimed at instilling mindfulness and nurturing mental well-being among students. The session introduced transformative meditation techniques designed to reduce stress, enhance concentration, and foster emotional resilience. A dynamic and interactive approach captivated the students, allowing them to experience the profound serenity and rejuvenation that mindfulness brings. Teachers actively motivated students to incorporate meditation into their daily routines, emphasizing its pivotal role in fostering holistic growth. The session concluded with students reflecting on their newfound sense of calm and clarity, sharing their transformative experiences. This event marked a meaningful stride toward cultivating a culture of mindfulness and well-being within the school community.

 

ACTIVE BRAIN CLUB

The “Active Brains Club” at YMS, Rohini, is a comprehensive educational initiative for nurturing the intellectual growth of students. The club conducts 25 sessions over the course of a year, offering a diverse range of activities. It provides students  with

  hands-on practical sessions and workshops led by qualified faculty members. Its unique feature is the provision of Robotics Kits, Electronic Kits, and various other resources, enabling students to explore deeper into STEM subjects and develop their problem-solving abilities. The Active Brains Club serves as a valuable platform for holistic learning for a successful academic journey and future career prospects.
